The following online databases and gateways can be accessed from any computer on the Spencerian College - Lexington campus by logging on to your account on a campus computer.

HOOVERS ONLINE®: "The ultimate source for company information," includes: company history profiles; in-depth financials; current company news; stock charts; Fortune 500® and S&P® status; Subsidiaries/affiliates; competitors; products/operations; officers; annual reports; investor relations information; real-time SEC filings; research reports; insider trade reportage; patents; company ranking; an industry snapshot; and, company job openings.

KENTUCKY VIRTUAL LIBRARY (KYVL): A statewide web-based gateway permitting access to the following wide range of online sources: periodical, newspaper and reference book databases; government information; the Kentuckiana Digital Library photographic archives; and electronic catalogs for other major libraries in Kentucky.

Databases are also available at the Lexington Public Library web page (an LPL library card is required for remote access).

OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS® RESOURCE CENTER: Opposing Viewpoints® is a comprehensive, full text database providing differing points of view on current social issues, such as affirmative action, censorship, ecology and mental health. Information on each issue includes topic overviews, government data, statistics, organizational profiles, and links to subject-related web sites.

PROQUEST®: Provides access to a variety of full text databases, including ABI/INFORM® Research (focusing on North American periodicals covering business and management issues), Proquest® COMPUTING (coverage from computing periodicals), and Proquest® CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION (covering technical and vocational periodicals).
