Accessing databases from off campus-
Faculty or Student Status
Unlike access to databases on campus, using
databases off campus requires that you obtain a database-specific username
and password.
NOTE: If you
are taking an online class (a Sullivan University Global Online class),
the logon for the online class is DIFFERENT than the logon you use
for remote access to databases. The online class login uses a campus code.
Follow the directions below to access the databases.
logging on to ONLINE CLASSES.
| NOTE: We have had a
number of users reporting problems when using the America Online (AOL)
browser screen. If you are using AOL, you will need to switch your
browser screen to the Microsoft Internet Explorer (Microsoft IE)
browser. To go to Microsoft IE, minimize the AOL browser and look for
the icon to Microsoft IE on your desktop (it will be a big, blue E).
If not on your desktop, go to the START menu, then PROGRAMS to find.

Depending on how you access the internet, you will be
prompted by one of two login boxes to access the Extranet Portals. The
links in the titles below will open an example of the different types of
login boxes.
Two Entry Box Login:
If the logon box you receive only has two entry boxes, you need to
use your domain then a "\" then your username. A student with the username
of jstude1234 will have to type suscorp\jstude1234
in the username box. All student passwords have been reset to your social
security number. A faculty member with a username of jfaculty will have to
type suscorp\jfaculty in the username
box. Faculty passwords should be the same they were last quarter.
Three Entry Box Login:
If the login box you receive has three entry boxes, you can use just your
username in the username box, but you need to enter your Domain in the
last box. All students and faculty belong to the suscorp domain.
Help:
If you do not know your username or password, or if you have trouble
logging in, please contact the IT Helpdesk at
helpdesk@sullivan.edu or call
the IT Department at 502-456-0004 or 1-800-844-1354 ext 410.
