Archives:
The Sullivan Archives contains a reference collection of Sullivan
University
historical materials. Included in the collection are web-based
archival materials incorporating a searchable database of the
Sullivan Herald, the university
newsletter;
catalogs; graduation information;
and class pictures.
Audiovisual
Materials:
Video and audiocassettes
are located on the main level interfiled with the library's book collection
in Dewey Decimal order.
The library has a large screen monitor connected to a computer and VCR which faculty may reserve for in-library viewing of videocassettes, or for in-library database instruction. Please contact the library staff to reserve this equipment and a room.
Books:
The library's collection
consists of business, management, culinary, travel, and general education
texts as well as some leisure materials. These materials are arranged
in Dewey Decimal order and may be located using the library's web-based
card catalog.

Periodicals:
The library's
current
periodical collection comprises some 200+ magazines, journals, newsletters,
and newspapers. The most recent issue and year of each of these titles
is available on the top shelves on the main level, west wing of the library.
Issues for prior years are stored on the lower level, west wing.

Databases:
The library provides access to a variety of electronic databases
including: PROQUEST, a comprehensive database of business, management, computer science, and career education journals - many with full text; many thousands of bibliographic and full text sources
through EBSCOHOST and KYVL
gateways; indexing to over 20 culinary periodicals in the CULINARY
PERIODICAL INDEX; OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS RESOURCE
CENTER providing comprehensive information on differing points of view
regarding current social issues; over 25,000 items of full text on the LEXIS-NEXIS databases; and Internet access.
